Check the date of manufacture on the inside of the toilet tank. If it was made before 1994, it probably does not meet current water saving standards and should be swapped out. 2. For new toilets and other plumbing fixtures, check for a “WaterSense” stamp on the packaging. 3. They also sell water meter products that can help you track water usage throughout the week to help you identify water leaks and other wasted water.
